The Kiddies' Caledonian Ball is a party for children from 4 to
13 years old.
It usually takes place late in May or early in June. Children,
dressed in colourful kilts, take part in dancing Scottish Country
Dances. There are three different competitions for different age
groups during the afternoon. The Eightsome reel is performed by
children over ten. Bronze, Silver and Gold medals are awarded
to the winners. Refreshments, sandwiches, and cakes are offered
to the children and a tea with sandwiches and home- made cakes
is served to parents, relatives and friends. The SASRP Pipe Band
puts on a wonderful show for everyone to enjoy.
