English Conversation Group

The St. Andrew's Society of the River Plate English Conversation Group started to fill the need of those who want not only to practise the spoken language, but also to socialise in a friendly atmosphere. The people in charge are all volunteers as St. Andrew's Society of the River Plate is a non-profit organization. All those interested in practising their English can join us every Friday from 6.30 to 9.00 pm. At 8 o' clock there is a tea-break but everybody continues talking over a cup of tea or coffee. While there are many institutes where you can practise reading, writing, grammar and listening here you will have the change to interact and socialise with your peers while you practise the spoken language in a relaxed atmosphere. Newcomers are welcome. Venue: Presbyterian City Church, Peru 352, Buenos Aires. There are a fee per Friday. 

Scottish Country Dances

The St. Andrew's Society of the River Plate Scottish Country Dance Group was formed about 50 years ago, although the SASRP taught Scottish country dancing previously.  Some members could be descendants of British and Irish families, however some of them are sympathies or our culture!.  St. Andrew's Society of the River Plate Scottish Country Dance Group meets regularly every Friday from 9.00 to 11.00 pm to learn and to dance at our Scottish parties. Everybody is welcome no matter their age. The atmosphere is friendly and lively. We like to enjoy the joyfull  jigs and reels, or quite Strathspeys. The fee is only $.... per Friday.
